THE CREATIVE POWER OF YOUR WORDS
SCRIPTURE: HEBREWS 11:3 (AMPL)
”By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.”
The words of medical doctors can mean good health or death. The words of a judge could mean freedom or prison. The words of a parent could mean blessing or curse. Kings exercise their authority by speaking words.
Words are powerful. Words carry creative power that can change your life radically. This is what the Word of God in particular teaches us. God created the worlds in which we live with His Word. Ours is to learn this truth and practice it for progress and for God’s glory.
By the power of the spoken word, a centurion got his servant healed as Jesus spoke over the sick servant. Our Lord Jesus used words to curse a fig tree as a demonstration of how faith works. You cannot underestimate the power of your words. Your life can change if you learn to use the spoken word of God rightly, consciously and constantly. God literally spoke the non-existent physical world into existence.
Words are containers of power and change. You must learn to pay attention to the Word of God and your own words too. This is how your life and circumstances are shaped, influenced and changed for the better by the words you speak.
Hebrews 13, verse 5 to 6 reminds us that, ”… for he has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say, the lord is my helper, I will not fear what man can do to me.” (KJV)
Yours is to boldly say what the Lord has said to you. As much as possible, you must develop this habit of saying what God’s Word says about you. By so doing, you are enforcing God’s word in your life and superimposing it over your circumstances. This is one important way you become more successful and produce testimonies of God’s power.
CONFESSION
By faith, I affirm the inner workings of the Spirit of God within me. Therefore, I acknowledge the supernatural power of God that is released through my words. By speaking God’s Word constantly over my life, my circumstances and future are conditioned for victory, success and my total wellbeing.

ROMANS 10:6-10
[6]But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above )
[7]or, “ ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
[8]But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
[9]that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
[10]For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
These two work together. They are interdependent. Between the time we believe God’s Word and the time it comes into manifestation, that waiting period is the opportunity we have to grow in patience or perseverance. James 1, verse 3 confirms this; ”knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” (NKJV)
Abraham had an attitude of faith and patience. With
enthusiasm and expectation he looked forward to the manifestation of his promise without giving up. I encourage you not to complain, murmur and get anxious when the Word you have believed hasn’t come into manifestation. Keep serving God. He is a rewarder of this who diligently seek him (Heb 11:6).
PRAYER
I praise you Father for how your Word reminds me to maintain a good confession and to remain inspired by the exploits of other men and women of faith. As I am strengthened by your Spirit in the inner man, I resolve to stand strong in trying times and to see the fulfillment of your Word to me. In Jesus’s name, I refuse to give up, Amen.

HEBREWS 11:1-6
[1]Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
[2]For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
[3]By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
[4]By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
[5]By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
[6]But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
