INTRODUCTION TO THE SUPERNATURAL
SCRIPTURE: LUKE I:37 (NKJV)
”For with God nothing will be impossible.”
One exciting truth about the life of Christ and life in Christ Jesus is that it was wrapped in the supernatural from his birth and given to us right at the new birth respectively. What do I mean? The birth of John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ, was a miracle. His father, Zechariah and mother Elizabeth, gave birth to him in their old age. Jesus Christ himself was born miraculously. Clearly, his birth beats common sense and science.
The stories of John the Baptist and our Lord Jesus Christ are two important stories of the supernatural that introduce us to the gospel. I am convinced of one thing; that our life and walk in Christ is primarily, inherently and generically supernatural. We therefore, can’t lose the awareness that our lives must be nurtured, sustained and preserved by the supernatural. Consider today’s verse: ”For with God nothing will be impossible.” Hallelujah! It was the emphatic response of angel Gabriel to Mary as Mary wondered how she was going to conceive baby Jesus without intercourse with Joseph, her husband.
Remember this: the New Creation’s life is the beginning of the life in the supernatural. The infilling of the Holy Spirit is supernatural. Infact, prayer is supernatural. God wants you to be familiar and accustomed to the supernatural on a daily basis. You are a supernatural entity and your life is supernatural. Even though you live in a physical world and you have a physical body, you are primarily spiritual and a supernatural being from within.
I want to challenge you to continue to exercise your faith for more and more miracles. Don’t just believe in common sense, science and its research findings, and man’s limited knowledge. Why? Whatever man teaches and discovers is limited. Act on the Word of God more and more. Respond to the Spirit of God and exercise your faith for more miracles because your God is unlimited.
Expect more supernatural manifestations in your life as you walk with your Father and fellowship with Him. Praise God! We are made for signs, miracles and wonders. This is how your normal life should be as a child of God. Expect to see financial miracles. As a new creature in Christ, your giving triggers financial miracles. Expect to be healthy because of the workings of the Holy Spirit in your life and body. Your expectations will come to pass.
Anytime you pray, and determine to put God’s Word to work, you are provoking the supernatural to work for you. You cannot give up on being a doer of the Word. God never ordained that you face the challenges of this life naturally. That’s why you are born again so that you can tap into the supernatural power of the Spirit of God living in you. Miracles are real.
CONFESSIONPraise be to you, Father! I have your divine nature. In Christ Jesus, I have access to supernatural power because the Spirit of God lives in me. I am a carrier of supernatural power. This is my life in Christ Jesus, a supernatural life and a victorious life.
