TOPIC : CULTIVATE CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS
SCRIPTURE: 1 CORINTHIANS 6:19 (NKJV) ”Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”
In His wisdom, God decided to dwell in us as believers through the new birth in Christ Jesus. Even though our natural mind cannot understand this, it’s what God planned and has done. Spiritual truth cannot be understood with the natural mind. Consider this: The living God lives in you. He lives in your spirit, your born again spirit in your body. Hallelujah!
You and I should be meditating on today’s verse often. It will help your consciousness of God’s presence in you more. Actually, the verse poses a question. This is one question we must all answer. Actually, you and I are expected to know and act exactly like one who knows this wonderful truth. The Corinthians were living unholy lives and had to be reminded that their body was the “home” in which God lived. If you really are conscious of God’s presence in you, you will seek to please him and not sin continually or offend him.
Colossians 1, verse 27 further emphasizes this truth. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (NKJV)
Can you imagine that? Can you accept this truth? That Christ Jesus is literally living in you by His Spirit? He was the mystery that was hidden to the people of the Old Testament but revealed to us New Testament believers. Are you ready to talk and act with this consciousness and awareness daily?
This Christ consciousness is what breeds and produces genuine and strong faith in us. That way, you are able to face every storm, circumstances, devils and overcome them in Jesus’ name. Why? Because your faith is in this Greater One within and your dependence is on him. This is what it means to walk by faith and not by sight. Christ Jesus is not just with you. He is actually in you. That makes you bigger than your circumstances. He wants to use your body and your life to demonstrate and express his life and power.
You are not alone. You are not weak and powerless. You are not mincemeat for satan. You are a child of God. Christ Jesus lives, walks, moves in you. You are bigger, stronger and more capable than any challenge you may be facing now. How do you see yourself?
PRAYER
I am strong in the Lord because I am empowered by His Spirit within me. The Anointed One is at work in me and through me to influence others with His presence. I am continually strengthened from within and enabled for a life of exploits and victories.
