CONFIDENCE FROM WITHIN
SCRIPTURE : PHILLIPIANS 1:6 (NKJV)
”Being confident of this very thing that He which has began a good work in you shall perform it until the day of Christ Jesus.”
It is inspiring how the Amplified version of the bible puts today’s verse. It says;
”And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.”
What a great piece of encouragement! This is really an inspiring piece of assurance! How much more will it take to encourage you to move on in faith in your daily walk with God and not get discouraged and tired? Let us face one of the real issues here. If God has not given up on you, how can you even consider giving up on yourself and in your forward march in faith?
In your daily walk with God, you commune with Him and rely on Him and His Word for guidance, help and solution in several areas. Why? Because we are nothing without Him and can do nothing without Him. If the one on whom we depend and look to hasn’t given up on us, then we have every reason to look forward with assurance of hope, taking hold of His grace for success and victory.
He has begun a good work in you, Hallelujah! Whatever you think of yourself doesn’t change this truth. Yes, even if your thinking, mentality, attitude and behavior sometimes make you uncooperative towards God, it doesn’t change the fact that He has initiated a good work in you.
His expectation is that He can produce some good fruit in you and carry out some great exploits through you. Praise God that He is at work in and through you today. Are you dealing with any issues today? Are there any storms that you are contending with today? God is actively at work in you. Just because you don’t see any good thing manifest in your life and all around you now doesn’t mean nothing is happening. You have to walk by faith and not by sight.
In the Spirit realm, you belong to the majority, the dominant and superior party. You can’t give up now, child of God. Don’t bow your head in apparent despair. You can’t stop believing God’s word. You can’t stop expecting His goodness and mercy in your life. Your Father is committed to helping you see the manifestation of the good thing He has begun in you.
PRAYER
Father, I am full of praise and gratitude for your plans for my life. I am convinced that I am going from glory to glory in spite of my circumstances and apparent limitations. Surely, that which you have initiated within me has made me a blessing, a testimony and vessel of honour in Jesus’s name, Amen.
