WELCOME TO A NEW BEGINNING
SCRIPTURE: PHILIPPIANS 1:6 (NKJV)
”Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
Thanks be to God who has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. It is of His mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not, they are new every morning. It is important that we acknowledge our Father’s love, grace and goodness in our lives in the year 2025 which just passed. Indeed, we can look forward with great expectations having come into the new year 2026 which is a new beginning.
As a child of God, you must hold on to your expectations, vision and purpose as you walk with the Lord. It is the power of your vision, plans, purposes and expectations that often give you the energy to wake up everyday and face life with a consciousness of victory and success. Hebrews 10, verses 35 to 36 provides a good reminder for you to keep going strong as you welcome a new beginning on this first day of 2026.
”Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise”
The most important words in these verses are confidence and great reward. Your confidence in what God has told you and in the new beginning you have, now carry the potential of the great reward about to manifest for you. Your confidence in God’s Word and your faith and expectation of its manifestation are two things you must keep holding on to, especially as the new year has just begun.
Remember that real confidence is related to your attitude of faith. Faith is also based on the Word of God. The strength of your confidence therefore has its roots in God’s Word. It is very timely therefore in this new beginning to reflect on today’s verse. It says; ”being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
Praise be to God! He hasn’t finished with you. Did you notice that this work God has begun in your life is a “good work? “
The good work He has already begun in you is ongoing. This new year which is a new beginning is another chapter or stage of this good work going on in your life. The manifestation of this good work will result in testimonies of His goodness, more of Christlikeness in you, open doors, promotion, strategic relationships and literal miracles. Be strong. Better days are ahead.
PRAYER
I thank you Father for your wonderful plan for my life in Christ Jesus. I acknowledge the good work you are doing in me and how it will make me demonstrate more Christlikeness in character and supernatural power. I am determined to maintain my confidence in your person, your Word and the work you are doing in me because I am assured of the reward in Jesus’s name, Amen.

Philippians 2:12-16
[12]Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
[13]for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
[14]Do all things without complaining and disputing,
[15]that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
[16]holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
